Whitney Houston’s latest single is called “Million Dollar Bill,” and she’d obviously like to earn one of the elusive bills of that lofty denomination, if not several. To that end, she is making use of new media in the form of Facebook to promote the tune. No wait, she’s using Facebook to promote radio airplay of the tune! Quote: “Whitney’s new single ‘Million Dollar Bill’ hits radio in the US today! Call your local station and request Whitney’s new song!”
RBR/TVBR observation: Hmmmm. We guess RIAA is wrong, and radio airplay is still of critical importance when it comes to successfully marketing music. Too bad most radio stations may either be broke or using Talk formats if RIAA gets its PRA way.
