How Much Money Did CBS Radio Lose In 2017?



With CBS Radio COO Scott Herman moving on from a company he has indirectly been associated with since starting his career as a news production assistant for then-Group W all-News WINS-AM 1010 in New York, Black Rock’s AMs and FMs are heading into the hands of Philadelphia-based Entercom Communications.

The stations Entercom are acquiring include many that are considered crown jewels in the radio industry. But, has CBS Radio been running them to the best of their respective abilities? A look at CBS Radio’s calendar Q1 2017 earnings and fiscal 2016 results suggests there are some revenue woes on the horizon for the company led by David Field.
