Inside-the-Beltway media all-stars slated for MMTC conference

Three sitting FCC commissioners, one former commissioner and the heads of both the National Association of Broadcasters and the National Cable and Telecommunications Association will be on hand when the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council Access to Capital and Telecom Policy Conference convenes in Washington in mid-July.


The session will be held 7/19-20/10 at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel.

Among the DC heavy hitters will be NAB’s Gordon Smith and NCTA’s Kyle McSlarrow.

Current denizens of the FCC 8th Floor on the MMTC schedule include Michael Copps, Robert McDowell and Meredith Baker. Also on hand will be Jonathan Adelstein, who spent time there during much of the Bush administration.

Other speakers NTIA Chief of Staff Tom Power; Former FCC Broadband Initiative Director Blair Levin; InterMedia Partners Chair Leo Hindery; RJL Equity Vice President Jerry Johnson; TechNet Chair Rey Ramsey; and USTelecom President Walter McCormick.
