LPTV Player Intrigue TV Names Ops. Head

He’s known for his former role as SVP/Media Systems and IT Development for STARZ Entertainment LLC.


Now, he’s taking the newly created role of VP of Operations at the owner of 11 low-powered stations and two program networks, one bearing the name of the entire operation.

Taking the post at Intrigue TV, parent of “Paranormal TV” and “Intrigue TV” is James Porter, and he reports to Intrigue TV CEO “SuperFrank” Copsidas, the LPTV entrepreneur who in August helped launch the LPTV Broadcasters Association.

Copsidas said, “As our operations continue to expand, it became clear we needed to bring aboard someone of Jim’s background and experience. Intrigue TV is committed to be on
the forefront of developing technology and Jim will bring us to the next level. In addition, Jim’s experience is also a great asset being a technical advisor for the fast-growing LPTV Broadcasters Association.”

Porter said, “I am delighted to be joining Intrigue TV and to contribute to the ongoing
expansion of the LPTV Broadcasters Association. I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and partnering with SuperFrank and the team to capitalize on the existing strong foundation and accomplishments and take Intrigue TV to the next level.”

Intrigue Group was founded in 1992 with a focus on radio broadcasting and artist
management that included the late “Godfather of Soul,” James Brown. In 2015, Intrigue TV entered the LPTV world with WTXX in New Haven, Conn. and WRNT in Hartford. They were
subsequently sold to HC2.
