Irish radio deal blocked

Regulators in Ireland have given Communicorp the OK to buy only two of the three radio stations it had agreed to buy from Emap for around 200 million euros. The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland decided that it would not be permissible for Communicorp to own three of the five commercial radio licenses in Dublin, so it said Communicorp could only acquire the two Emap station in Donegal. Whether the reduced deal will go forward remains to be seen. And what, then, will happen to the stray station in Dublin?
