Is The Senate Done Stalling On A Geoffrey Starks Vote?


Remember Geoffrey Starks, an alumnus of one of D.C.’s most prolific law firms? A Friday evening tweet on June 1 from the White House confirmed widespread rumors that first surfaced in March that he’s the pick to serve out the remainder of a five-year term intended for former FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn.

Much was written about Starks. Then … there was silence.

Now, it appears Starks’ nomination vote — and that for another Commissioner — could be coming in days, not weeks.

The future for that other Commissioner is likely what put a block on Starks’ confirmation vote.
