Chances are you’ve never met George Ivie, but as Executive Director and CEO of the Media Rating Council (MRC) he plays an important role in overseeing the credibility of broadcast ratings, both Nielsen and Arbitron. Ivie will be saluted at this month’s Las Vegas convention by the NAB and the Broadcast Education Association with the 2008 Hugh Malcolm Beville, Jr. Award. The award, named for research pioneer Mal Beville, is presented annually in honor of outstanding contributions to the field of broadcast audience research.
