Jacqui Smith to air BBC Radio porn doc; Michael Savage comments

Jacqui Smith, the former UK Home Secretary who banned TRN’s Michael Savage from entering the UK almost two years ago-and who stepped down from the post over claiming two adult films that her husband had watched as expenses (among other things)-will host a BBC Radio documentary on pornography 3/3.

In the hour-long BBC Radio 5 program, “Porn Again,” Smith will interview porn stars and their producers, politicians and feminists about what it’s like to work in the industry; what porn is doing to society and its effect on children and relationships.

The BBC said the show would allow her to question her own opinions and experience throughout and will consider whether pornography damages the men and women who make it and watch it.

Smith stepped down as Home Secretary 6/09 and in 10/09 was forced to apologize over criticism from her expenses. Savage later filed a defamation suit against both her and the UK Government.

We asked Savage what he thought. He tells RBR-TVBR (and we did not alter his comments at all, per his request): “HER POLITICS ARE MORE PORNOGRAPHIC THAN ANY SEX SCENE. SEX IS GOOD, IT IS FUN. SMITH’S POLITICS KILLED HER PARTY IN THE LAST ELECTION AND HAVE KEPT ME BANNED FROM ENTERING THE LAND OF THE MAGNA CARTA. WHAT CAN BE MORE ‘PORNOGRAPHIC’ THAN THE UK GOVERNMENT REFUSING TO DEPORT RADICAL MUSLIMS WHO PREACH THE OVERTHROW OF ENGLAND, THE INTRODUCTION OF SHARIA LAW, ‘DEATH TO THE QUEEN’, WHILE REFUSING TO LIFT THE BAN AGAINST MICHAEL SAVAGE? I AM THE ONLY MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN MEDIA BANNED FROM ENTERING THE UK BECAUSE OF THE DEGENERATED POLITICAL MINDS OF SMITH AND HER COHORTS.”

RBR-TVBR observation: While the new Conservative Party-led government of Prime Minister David Cameron told Savage it will continue the ban on his entry to the UK, we think Savage will get a kick out of this new development and talk it up on his show. It’s a bit of irony that she finds his brand of talk a threat to the UK citizens, while at the same time she obviously supports open discussion about something as controversial as pornography.
