Jay Huizenga began his career at a pair of broadcast TV stations serving portions of South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana—one of the largest coverage areas in the nation —as an account executive in 1980.
The operations are locally branded as the KELOLAND Media Group, for CBS and MyNetworkTV affiliate KELO-11 in Sioux Falls, S.D. It is a sibling of semi-satellite KCLO-15 in Rapid City, S.D.
Huizenga has announced his retirement. His successor at the Nexstar Media Group-owned duo is now known.
