Alpha Broadcasting’s KINK-FM Portland, OR will debut “The Lounge After Hours” tomorrow night at 10pm which will air weeknights, 10pm-midnight.  The show, hosted by KINK night personality Brad Dolbeer, will dive into the vault of live performances from visiting artists who have stopped by the station’s Live Performance Lounge throughout its 40 year history to share music and stories with the audience.

Many of these tracks have ended up on the KINK Live CDs, the station’s compilation project released annually over the last dozen years.  The two-hour nightly show will feature single tracks as well as complete sessions from artists ranging from established singers such as Sarah McLachlan, Lyle Lovett, Indigo Girls and Randy Newman to relative newcomers like Colbie Caillat, Snow Patrol, Adele and Death Cab For Cutie.

The Lounge After Hours replaces Lights Out, which moves to Sunday nights at 10pm and features ambient music.  Lights Out also has been part of the station throughout its history and will continue to be available 24/7 as a streaming channel directly linked from www.kink.fm.  The streaming channel runs commercial free and is hosted by KINK’s Sean Marten.

“The Lounge After Hours will focus on these live acoustic versions which are literally one-of-a-kind, performed here at KINK.  These performances are beloved by our listeners and over time have become a signature of what KINK is all about,” commented KINK Program Director Dennis Constantine.  “Going back through the archives we’ve unearthed some real treasures, and I believe our listeners will find this an enjoyable way to unwind at the end of the day.”
