KPAM expands local programming

Pamplin Media Group’s KPAM 860 Poertland is now “AM 860, The Voice of Portland” and has expanded their local lineup.  Starting 3/3, new local news program debuted, “First Edition with Tim Hohl and Pat Boyle.”  After seven years, The Bob Miller Show is moving its start time from 5am to 7am, still keeping all four hours.  With these changes, “Gibson on Fox,” which aired weekdays live from 9am-11am, will no longer be on the station.

“First Edition” will air weekdays from 5am to 7am beginning Thursday, March 3rd — and will originate from the AM 860 studios in SE Portland.  First Edition will feature the hottest local news stories of the day, along with guests, weekly contributions from the Portland Tribune and other Pamplin Media Group community papers, plus news, weather, sports and traffic every 20 minutes.

News Director Tim Hohl and Anchor Pat Boyle will continue their duties through the morning until the conclusion of The Bob Miller Show at 11am, to give Oregonians local news coverage three times an hour.  The station has also reinvented their brand logo to reflect their live and local commitment. KPAM programming also features The Victoria Taft Show, The Michael Savage Show and Exclusive Oregon State Beavers Play-by-Play on AM 860.
