The Friars Club crowned WKTU’s radio host Goumba Johnny Sialiano victor of the series …So You Think You Can Roast!? winning the opportunity to roast Matt Lauer on October 24, at the New York Hilton. This is the first time the Friars Club had a national contest to find the best talent to participate in one the club’s long-standing traditions.
Sialiano was chosen as a finalist after his performance at the Vincent Big Pussy Pastore roast on July 29th. Competition was stiff at the Gary Dell’Abate roast where the finals were held on October 6th, but Sialiano delivered again with his natural quick wit and charm.
Sialiano will join the likes of Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira, Richard Belzer, Martha Stewart, Jeffrey Ross, and Bob Saget to name a few, in roasting Matt Lauer. “I am very honored about this exciting opportunity to stand along side this all-star cast to poke fun at an American icon like Matt Lauer,” stated Sialiano
