NBC O&O KXAS-TV Dallas-Ft. Worth has partnered with The Lone Star Emmy Educational Foundation to introduce the Harold Taft Scholarship – the first in Texas for students pursuing meteorology and atmospheric science degrees. The scholarship honors the late Harold Taft, who was the station’s chief meteorologist for 42 years, from 1949 until his death in 1991.
