Johnson Broadcasting is in Chapter 11, and creditors want to liquidate the assets of its two properties, KNWS-TV in Houston and KLDT-TV in Dallas. With a prospective buyer in place, Frank Higney of Kalil & Co., acting as limited purpose fiduciary, is putting the stations up for auction to see if there is a bidder willing to up the ante.
The prospective buyer is Una Vez Mas, which was reported to have offered almost $15M for the duo, $9M for the Houston station and $5.8M for the Dallas station.
