Was “The Lloyd Thaxton Show” a 1960s-era teen dance show or a spoof of the teen dance show genre? In either case, Thaxton had a lot of fun doing the nationally syndicated TV show. He later produced and directed “Fight Back! With David Horowitz,” for which he became an Emmy Award winner. Thaxton’s wife says he died Sunday at age 81, after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in May.
