In the southern San Joaquin Valley of California, Lotus Communications is the top dog when it comes to serving regional Mexican audiences, as its “Radio Lobo” is the No. 1 Spanish-language station in a market that’s become one of the biggest Hispanic media hubs in America.
Along with “La Ley, “El Gallito,” and English-language Oldies “Q92.1” is a Deportes-focused AM simulcasting KWKW-AM in Los Angeles’ “Tu Liga”-branded Spanish-language Sports Talk format.
Soon, the Bakersfield home for “Tu Liga” will be handed to a new owner.
And, in a separate deal, an AM in Fresno will be spun to the same buyer.
