Since March 2019, Alana Lujan has been the Jacksonville-based Director of Sales for Cox Media Group.

With Apollo Global Management now in control of CMG, Lujan has left the building.

Where has she landed? Back in Houston, at the company led by President/CEO David Field.

Effective Jan. 27, Lujan will serve as the new DOS for Entercom’s Houston cluster, comprised of KILT-FM 100.3 “The Bull,” KKHH-FM “95.7 The Spot,” KIKK-AM “CBS Sports Radio 650,” KLOL-FM “MEGA 101,” KHMX-FM “Mix 96.5” and KILT-AM “Sports Radio 610.”

Until May 2018, Lujan was across town at Cox’s three stations in Houston: KKBQ-FM, KTHT-FM and KGLK/KHPT “The Eagle.” She served as GSM from May 2013, and as LSM from March 2012 until her promotion.

Lujan was also an AE at Cox Media Group’s Houston radio stations, from 2006-2011. She departed to serve in a multimedia sales role at the Austin American-Statesman from 2011-2012.

Her Houston radio experience also includes a role as an AE for CBS Radio/Austin, from September 2004-April 2006.

Lujan reports to Entercom/Houston SVP/Market Manager Sarah Frazier, who says Lujan is “well respected in the market due to her extraordinary ability to lead sales efforts. I’m happy to bring her back home to Houston.”

Frazier also cites Lujan’s recent experience in digital sales, which she says “will be an especially valuable asset as we continue to develop new and innovative ways to serve our clients through Radio.com.”
