Luken Successor Plans OTT Home For Multicast Nets

Luken Communications no longer exists. The purveyor of digital multicast networks targeting niche audiences is now known as Get After It Media, and it seeks a bigger outlet for its offerings than on a DT signal a cord-cutter would tune to.

Get After It is jumping into the over-the-top space.

The streaming service It’s Real Good TV is nearing its launch, and will be the lone home on the internet for The Heartland Network, Retro TV, Rev’n, The Family Channel, and The Action Channel.

There’s a free and a premium option for live streams and on-demand programming. Paying subscribers will have on-demand access to special offerings and the “vintage” soap opera The Doctors.

The series has been featured on Retro TV since 2014.

The rollout is the latest effort directed by Joel Wertman, the company’s President. Wertman was featured in a RBR+TVBR profile in February 2020. At that time, a name change to Reach High Media Group had been made. Subsequently, a shift to the current company name was made.

Wertman says, “It’s Real Good TV was born out of a drive to bring all of our original programming, exclusive series, and television networks to a global audience in one neat package. After dipping our toes in the water with WatchTheDoctors.com, I knew we could make something even bigger and bolder, and our team has delivered in spades.”

A launch is anticipated by April 1, with availability on Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, iOS, and Android devices. Streaming on demand will also be available at ItsRealGoodTV.com.

“It’s been a true labor of love, over a year in the making,” adds Stacy Newman, Get After It Media’s Director of Digital Development. Newman continued, “We’ve built a really solid
product and I can’t wait for users to finally explore it themselves.”

For those who have been using singular Retro TV, The Heartland Network, Rev’n, and Watch The Doctors apps on Roku and similar devices, those will soon cease functioning.
