For the first time in his 28 years as a fulltime NFL television analyst, John Madden is missing Sunday’s broadcast of the Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on NBC. No, he’s not sick, just taking a week off. Madden doesn’t fly, so the 72-year-old is skipping the grueling cross-country RV trip from the previous game in San Diego. Cris Collingsworth will sub for Madden. “I’m thrilled that I can finally do something for him after all he has done for me,” said Collingsworth.
