Al Sergi idea is simple and brilliant. The only issue I see is the government would go against us and claim broadcasters were violating the “plugola and playola” regulations if we played records that broadcasters had an economic interest in. But overall it’s a great idea. Hope it sends the message that the congress, BMI, ASCAP and Sesac need to hear along with the record labels. Broadcasting is and historically has been the ideal medium to get new music out there.
