'Masterschef' doubles up Tuesday on Fox, solid demos

With two installments of MASTERCHEF, including the 9pm season finale, FOX ranked #1 last night across Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54 and delivered FOX’s highest-rated Tuesday in Total Viewers so far this summer with entertainment programming.

MASTERCHEF’s 2-hr finale night posted a 2.6/8 overall and was up +30% from last year’s 2-hr finale on 9/15/10 (vs. 2.0/6). In fact, last night’s 9pm finale episode was up +40% versus last year’s two-hour finale.

At 9pm, MASTERCHEF achieved the show’s highest ratings ever among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.

MASTERCHEF’s 9pm finale was the highest-rated program of the night across all key adult demos and beat America’s Got Talent in head-to-head competition by +8% among Adults 18-49 (2.8/8 vs. 2.6/7)
      
Competition

Following a repeat Wipeout at 8p (1.6/5), week three of ABC’s Take the Money & Run (1.4/4) hit its series low, down -22% from last week. Combat Hospital (0.9/3, up +13%) was in line with its recent performances at 10p.

CBS aired repeats of NCIS (1.2/4), NCIS: Los Angeles (1.3/4), and Hawaii Five-0 (1.1/3).

NBC’s new game show It’s Worth What? (1.0/3) dropped -9% to its lowest original ratings to date. From 9-11p, America’s Got Talent (2.7/8) posted its lowest Tuesday rating this summer, dropping -10% week over week and -25% from its prior average on the night (3.6/11).
