U.S. financial markets were on the upswing, with the Dow Jones Industrials Average rising 346.41 points to 25,146.39, and Nasdaq rising 51.38 to 7,689.24.
Most media companies rode the wave, with Entercom seeing a much-needed bump. It’s now at $7 a share, rising 9.4%.
Also seeing a much-needed gain is Nielsen, which went ex-dividend on Tuesday (6/5) at a yield of 4.5% with a forward dividend of $1.40. On heavier than normal volume of 4.81 million shares, Nielsen finished up 2.5%, to $30.76. Normal volume is 3.5 million shares.
Nielsen shares have been trading at a five-year low in recent days.
