They say the best conversations at an industry conference come in the hallways and over cocktails, and not always during scheduled panel discussions.
In a random encounter following a 2016 Radio Show Luncheon sponsored by NextRadio, the tagstation-powered app for Android-powered smartphones that activates the FM chip inside the device, two 21-year-old music lovers shared their passion for music.
They also shared how they most-often listen to music. “Radio” was not the answer for Tyler Hollin, a Nashville-based Alternative Country Magazine public relations and web design intern presently enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University.
But the radio industry has a chance to attract him, and his peers, he says.
That statement came only after he was shown the NextRadio one-page handout distributed an hour earlier at the luncheon.
