Talk about your bouncing series of owners.
It’s a digital low-power television station that was sold by Enlace Christian Television to Craig Ruark in 2021. Earlier this year, it was resold to an entity led by Scott Centers.
Now, Centers is selling the property again, a deal that will bring it to its four licensee in under 24 months. It comes concurrent to another Southern Nevada spin for Centers.
The property is KDNU-LD in Las Vegas, which Ruark-led LVNV Broadcasting Company in March 2022 paid $200,000 for.
Now, LVNV is selling the station to Bridge News LLC, based in Farmington Hills, Mich. That is associated with NewsMakers Media, a business that it says “brings together the most powerful talent and tools in communications and media to deliver relevant, meaningful messages across all media platforms worldwide that strengthen and build brands, prominent people, and important work and products.”
Bridge News is paying $900,000 for the LPTV. And, payment was due within five days of the asset purchase agreement’s Sept. 21 signing. That has been delivered as a 100% deposit, resulting in the Form 314 filing on Monday (9/26).
Talk about a rapid acceleration in value. In June 2021 KDNU-LP was sold to Ruark by Enlace Christian Television for $31,950.
KDNU has its roots as analog K34BQ, built by Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) to serve the market.
Meanwhile, the KDNU sales comes alongside the sale of KMSQ-LD from Centers-held Center Point Broadcasting Corp. to Bridge News LLC.
That property attracted $100,000, with full payment also made by September 26, resulting in the filing of a separate APA for KMSQ.
Centers’ sale of KMSQ is also a quick spin, as he agreed to acquire the station from Tiny Tortoise Investments for just $25,000 in late April 2022.
