NBC Sports announced that it will add 30 minutes of coverage to its broadcast of the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs in Louisville. The main sponsor is Yum Brands and the two and a half hours of coverage begins at 4:00 pm ET with “Access at the Derby,” with “Access Hollywood” host Billy bush joining the NBC Sports racing team. Access at the Derby will also include the “Kentucky Derby Red Carpet Show presented by Head and Shoulders.” (Who knew they made a shampoo for horses!?) NBC Sports race coverage begins at 5:00 pm ET with Tom Hammond and Bob Costas co-hosting alongside three time winning jockey Gary Stevens.
