The LPTV Spectrum Rights Coalition says that the FCC has granted its request to allow more time for reply comments on its 3rd NPRM on LPTV. An extra week is available to interested parties.
The due date was 1/26/15, and has according to the Coalition, will be extended to 2/2/15.
The Coalition cited four reasons for its request:
1) There over a dozen major topics of key importance to the LPTV industry, and more than 50 key questions asked within the NPRM
2) This has resulted in more than 500-pages of submitted Comments from over 60 entities.
3) Many, if not most of the potential entities wanting to provide Reply Comments, are small entities, which need time to understand the ramifications of the Comments and prepare responses.
4) This is the only time which LPTV has been and will be given to develop commentary on its’ future pre and post auction, and as such, the industry needs to fully understand and respond.
The Coalition said the only thing left for the FCC to do on the matter was get the word out.
