NAB 2011: Where are the banks?

0

That is the question heard constantly by owners and brokers. In a year that has seen resurgence in radio and TV profitability, the financial community remains conspicuously absent from NAB again this year. Brokers are to be found in abundance, as do buyers and sellers, but the major banks who provided middle-market financing in the range of $5-25 Million seem to have become extinct.

The situation is much like the early 1990’s, when banks smarting from loan losses, also withdrew from broadcasting.

With another year of revenue and cash flow growth, a new group of lenders will likely start to appear by the next NAB.
