The NAB has selected a SVP/Business Development, charged with leading and managing the association’s sales team. The individual chosen for the role spent the last 11 as VP/Sales and Group Publisher for the Broadcast/Video Group at the parent company of industry trade publications Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News.
That person is Eric Trabb, who reports to EVP/Conventions & Business Operations Chris Brown with events such as the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas; NAB Show New York; NAB Show Shanghai; and the Radio Show, which is co-produced with the Radio Advertising Bureau and will be staged in 2018 in Orlando.
At NewBay, Trabb managed sales for 14 publications and adjacent websites as well as show dailies, trade shows and other events.
“Eric is well-connected within the industries that NAB events and programs serve,” Brown said. “His 25+ years of experience leading national and international sales teams, combined with his proven track record in B2B sales generation around media and entertainment, will be a great asset to NAB’s business operations.”
Trabb previously spent 14 years in sales and was later promoted to publisher at Imas Publishing, which was acquired by NewBay Media in 2007.
