National political spend on CC Radio up 98% vs. 2006

Clear Channel announced that spend on national political spots on all 800+ Clear Channel Radio stations (both on-air and online) in 2008 (January through September) increased a 98% over 2006 levels. Other political spending increases include:
* Total political spending: up 48% compared to 2006 and 54% compared to 2004
* Local political spending: up 8% compared to 2006 and 48% compared to 2004
* National political spending: up 59% compared to 2004
