Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Ukraine, part of media holding Media Group
Ukraine, has signed a three-year contract deal with NBCUniversal Global Distribution for exclusive rights to broadcast its content in the eastern European nation.
Through the deal, NBCU movies and television series will be broadcast on the TV channels Ukraine, NLO TV and Indigo TV.
The package acquired by MGU’s broadcasting group channels includes over 100 titles. Among the feature films are The Mummy, The Scorpion King, Jurassic World, Johnny English, Pacific Rim, Shrek, Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, Kung Fu Panda, Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain, and How to Train Your Dragon.
Interestingly, Media Group Ukraine did not share details on the television programs it is acquiring as part of the deal.
“This agreement between NBCUniversal and our media holding symbolically ushers in 2022,” said Iryna Chernyak, Director of Acquisitions of TRBC “Ukraine” LLC. ”
The rights for the package acquired from NBCUniversal Global Distribution commenced on December 15.
