NBC 'Chuck' 4th place, 'Law-Order: LA' 3rd place

At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of “Chuck” averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall.   Versus the prior “Chuck” encore on April 4, last night’s rebroadcast grew by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.6) and by 19 percent in total viewers (2.854 million vs. 2.407 million).  This is the top 18-49 rating for a “Chuck” encore this season among seven rebroadcasts.


At 9 p.m. ET, “The Event” (1.3/3 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.1) and by 15 percent in total viewers (4.428 million vs. 3.850 million).  “The Event” built on its lead-in by 44 percent to deliver its highest 18-49 rating since March 7.  From its first half-hour to its second,

“The Event” grew in every key ratings category, including gains of 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.1) and 18 percent in total viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.1 million).

These “Event” results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results for the week of April 25-May 1 — through the season’s first 28 weeks, “The Event” gained an average 38 percent among adults 18-49 when going from “live plus same day” ratings to “live plus seven day,” the #4 increase for any primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW and the #1 increase for a first-year series.    

At 10 p.m. ET, “Law & Order: LA” (1.3/3 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) was up week to week by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.1) and by 12 percent in total viewers (5.757 million vs. 5.122 million).  From its first half-hour to its second, “Law & Order: LA” grew by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.3) and by 12 percent in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.7).
