NBC Friday line-up w/ 'Friday Night Lights' solid in demos

At 8 p.m. ET, “Friday Night Lights” (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 29 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and by 16 percent in total viewers (3.485 million vs. 3.006 million).  Versus two weeks ago, “FNL” was up 50 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.6) and 42 percent in total viewers (3.485 million vs. 2.453 million). 


“Friday Night Lights” matched its season high in 18-49 rating and earned its biggest overall audience since its April 15 season premiere.

From 9:30-11 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) led the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key categories.  From its first half-hour to its third, “Dateline” grew by 40 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.0) and 45 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 4.0 million).

Pending updates. “Dateline NBC” is tied for the #1 rating of the night in 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in adults 18-49.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Dateline NBC” delivered an 18 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 2.0 rating vs. a 1.7 for ABC’s second-place “20/20”).
