NBC's renewed 'The Biggest Loser' third-place Tuesday

At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” (2.1/6 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key demographics with its top 18-49 and total-viewer results since February 1. 


Versus the prior week, “Parenthood” is up 11 percent in 18-49 rating (2.1 vs. 1.9) and 8 percent in total viewers (5.499 million vs. 5.115 million).  “Parenthood” also finished #1 in the hour in adults, men and women 18-34 and women 18-49. 

These “Parenthood” results are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results for the week of February 7-13. 

Through the season’s first 18 weeks, “Parenthood” added an average 43 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported “live plus same day” ratings to its “live plus seven day” results.

From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser: Couples” averaged a 2.7/7 in 18-49 and 7.5 million viewers overall in a time period that included competition from Fox’s “Glee,” CBS’s “NCIS” and “NCIS: LA” and ABC’s “No Ordinary Family” and “V.” 

From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” grew by 45 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.2 from a 2.2) and by 36 percent or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (8.7 million vs. 6.4 million).
