NBC's Thursday line-up touch on the weak side

At 8 p.m. ET, “Community” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall) is up week to week by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.5) and 14 percent in total viewers (3.819 million vs. 3.346 million) in a highly competitive time period versus Fox’s “X Factor,” “CBS’s “Big Bang Theory,” ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels” and CW’s “Vampire Diaries.”  “Community” topped its average in last May’s sweep in adults 18-49 by 13 percent (1.7 vs. 1.5).


At 8:30 ET, “Parks and Recreation” (2.1/6 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) built by 24 percent on its 18-49 lead-in from “Community” in a slot where NBC was on average flat last season versus original lead-ins from “Community.”  In a competitive time period versus Fox’s “X Factor,” CBS’s “Big Bang Theory” encore and ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels,” “Parks and Recreation” grew week to week by 5 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from a 2.0).

The 2.1 rating in 18-49 matches a season high for “Parks and Recreation” and equals NBC’s highest rating in this time period, excluding sports, since December 2, 2010.
 
From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, “The Office” (3.2/8 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) is running within 2 shares of the lead in its highly competitive time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and is #1 ahead of Fox’s “X Factor,” ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “Person of Interest” in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49.

At 9:30 ET, “Whitney” averaged a 2.0/5 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.  “Whitney” is #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW among men 18-34 in a highly competitive time period that includes the concluding half-hours of Fox’s “X Factor,” ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “Person of Interest.” 
 
At 10 p.m. ET, “Prime Suspect” averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers overall.  Versus NBC’s results in this hour on the same night last year, “Prime Suspect” is flat in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs.1.3) and up 22 percent in total viewers (4.501 million vs. 3.701 million).  “Prime Suspect” is #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-34, 18-49 (tie) and 25-54.
