Bahakel Communications has renewed Nielsen services for stations in their five their television markets: Montgomery, AL; Charlotte; Columbia and Myrtle Beach, SC; and Jackson, TN.
The new deal provides Bahakel with Nielsen’s local TV ratings data.
Jeff Wender, Managing Director of Local Client Solutions for Nielsen, says the agreement “supplies Bahakel with the tools they need to more effectively compete in their markets, capture more ad dollars and deliver higher ROI to their advertisers. We value and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship.”
Bahakel was founded in 1953 by Cy Bahakel, who died in April 2006 at the age of 87.
Its TV properties are comprised of ABC affiliates in Montgomery, Columbia and Jackson; a Fox affiliate in Myrtle Beach; CW affiliates in Charlotte and Montgomery; and the CBS affiliate in Montgomery.
The family-run company also owns two FMs in Colorado Springs, Colo. and a Chattanooga, Tenn. comprised of an AM and three FMs.
