It’s very clear that several media companies, many of which are in broadcast TV, are strongly benefiting from millions of dollars in political advertising tied to the biggest midterm election season in recent memory.
Salem Media Group is one of those companies. But, the boost isn’t so big. The company revealed late Wednesday, along with largely positive Q3 results, that it isn’t expecting its revenue to grow in Q4.
This suggests Salem needs more than Election Day dollars to support a long-term turnaround.
