Open mic drops f-bombs over Iowa

An in-studio argument at Clear Channel’s Sports/Talk KXNO-AM Des Moines was picked up by an open mic during a commercial break Friday morning, filling the airwaves with f-bombs and other profane words. According to the Des Moines Register, the exchange was between Marty Tirrell and Larry Cotlar over media credentials used during the recent Iowa high school boys’ basketball tournament. WHO-TV obtained a tape of the broadcast, and while we’re pretty sure the television station didn’t broadcast it without editing, the original is posted on its website. No doubt Clear Channel will be hearing from the FCC.
