Orban Labs, known for its audio processing for AM and FM radio, broadcast TV, and internet broadcasting, has signed an agreement with iHeartMedia-owned broadcast software company RCS to provide OPTIMOD zStreams processing for RCS’ Disaster Recovery, a unique Zetta automation feature.

Zetta’s cloud-based Disaster Recovery tools backup all audio, schedules and metadata. When the station is ready to return to its normal live output, RCS Disaster Recovery restores all of the original data. The OPTIMOD zStreams processor is also cloud-based
and offers Orban’s audio processing capabilities.

“Our launch customer for OPTIMOD zStreams needed hundreds of Orban processing
channels to be integrated within the RCS Disaster Recovery platform,” said Orban President David Day. “We already had a strong cloud-based processing platform, OPTICLOUD, and we welcomed the opportunity to adapt it to provide the latest in audio processing for RCS. We’re enthused to be working with an industry leader such as RCS to provide this new ‘processing-as-a-service’ option for their customers.”

RCS President/CEO Philippe Generali adds, “Partnering provides an easy pathway for our customers to access high quality sound demanded from today’s audience.”
