Pai Applauds Broadcast Internet Innovation Through ATSC 3.0

WASHINGTON, D.C. — “Many of a certain age remember the days when families would argue about who should have to get up to adjust the rabbit ears in order to improve TV reception,” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said as he began his comments on a Declaratory Ruling designed to bring the U.S. one step closer to “Broadcast Internet.”


Broadcast television has come a long way since then. Now, thanks to ATSC 3.0 and “NEXTGEN TV,” it is one step closer to powering the “Internet of things” — among other things.
