The California Broadcasters Association has elected John Paley as Chairman of the CBA Board of Directors. Paley joined Lotus Communication’s KWKW in 1971 and served in various executive positions including GM of KWKW and KIRN Los Angeles. Prior to joining Lotus, John worked in management for both ABC and CBS radio. John was recently named Lotus VP for Corporate and Community Relations, and tasked with overseeing localism efforts for the station group.
Said CBA President/CEO Stan Statham: “John has served for many years on the CBA board of directors and is a tremendous resource to have as Chairman.”
Upon confirmation as Chairman, John stated; “We look forward to continuing the great work of the CBA to protect broadcasters and help them serve their communities. As broadcasters continue to adapt and innovate to the changing audience, the fundamentals of serving the community and connecting to viewers and listeners remain our primary goal.”
