C.J. Jones and Joe Mule are now the official owners of WWJN-FM Ridgeland SC in the Hilton Head SC market. The 104.9 MHz station was sold by John Broomfield’s JB Broadcasting.
According to Todd Fowler of Fowler Media Consulting, the price of the transaction was $640K.
Fowler says the new owners have already put a new format on the station: It is now playing Classic Hits as 104.9 The Surf, and the phrase “We love Hilton Head” will be reflected in new forthcoming call letters WLHH.
