PIRATE Act Finally Gets Senate Consideration

The House of Representatives on Monday, Feb. 25, passed the “PIRATE Act.” The House in the 115th Congress did the same in 2018.


But, it’s up to the U.S. Senate to decide if the legislation makes its way to the White House for its signing into law. Last year, the Senate failed to take action.

Now, it is finally considering the legislative measure designed to give the FCC far more firepower in squelching unlicensed radio broadcast operations.
