Point Broadcasting, which operates three SoCal radio groups, announced that the sales and client marketing services across its radio station clusters and affiliated companies, including new digital products currently in development, will be organized and managed as a unified division of the company. Its newly appointed Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Services, Dave Severino, will manage the Sales and Marketing Services Division.

The new Division will be responsible for all sales functions and client marketing services provided by Point and its various subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Southern California, including Gold Coast Broadcasting in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, LC Media LP in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, Rincon Broadcasting  in Santa Barbara County, High Desert Broadcasting LLC in the Antelope Valley (Northern Los Angeles County and Kern County), and some new enterprises to come.

Point’s Chairman, John Hearne, commented that “The consolidation of our sales operations into this new Division will bring greater efficiency and productivity to our sales and marketing services and allow us to deliver a higher level of service and support to our valued clients at all levels; local, regional and national.  We are very pleased to bring Dave Severino on board to head up this new Division and lead its growth.”

Severino added, “I consider this to be a unique opportunity to join an established and forward thinking broadcasting company.  One that has unlimited potential based upon its current ownership of branded radio, television and new media as well as plans for expansion.”

Dave comes to Point after having most recently served as VP/Director of Sales for KLOS/KABC/Dodgers Radio Network and General Sales Manager of KLOS, in Los Angeles.  Previously Dave spent 15 years at the CBS cluster in Los Angeles eventually serving as GSM at KLSX during its years with an FM Talk format.  He also served as GSM when the station flipped format to CHR as AMP 97.1FM (KAMP).
