Prather exits Gray Television

Gray TelevisionPresident/COO Robert S. Prather Jr. has resigned from Gray Television Inc., effective immediately. His responsibilities will be assumed by Gray CEO Hilton H. Howell Jr.


The company issued a release announcing the resignation and offered no hint as to the reasoning behind it.

Howell stated, “I want to thank Bob Prather for his service to the Company.  As we continue to move ahead, I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with our corporate leadership team, as well as all the other members of Gray’s outstanding operational leadership team at our television stations.  This is an exciting and dynamic time in the television broadcasting industry, and after our record year in 2012 we continue to be on track for a very solid year in 2013.”

Gray is in 30 markets, and manages to have 45 big four affiliations and 41 additional programming steams via digital multicasting.
