Rep. Tlaib Introduces Streaming Royalties Resolution In House

0

As most radio industry leaders understand, H.Con.Res.33 — the widely supported “Local Radio Freedom Act” — is a non-binding House resolution. It’s a promise, per se, of those signing the resolution.

While that has 225 co-sponsors, Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib has decided to introduce a House resolution of her own — one that states it is the “duty of the Federal Government to establish a new royalty program.”

This program doesn’t target Radio, but its streaming competitors.
