Mobile Production Truck Boosted With Riedel Tech

Looking for an HD1 mobile production truck that suits your station’s style?

You may be inspired by a newly upgraded vehicle from a company with its headquarters just east of Dusseldorf, Germany.

HD Broadcast, a major German provider of live production and outside broadcasting (OB) services, now has in its fleet a HD1 mobile production truck equipped with Riedel CommunicationsMediorNet real-time network.

riedelThree MediorNet Compact Pro frames and six Riedel MicroN high-density media distribution network devices are connected over a 10 Gbps optical fiber network to create a fully redundant, decentralized routing matrix.

Working in combination with HD Broadcast’s existing Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system, the scalable new MediorNet infrastructure combines fully integrated signal transport, routing, and processing.

Constantin Novotny, CEO of Germany-based HD Broadcast, said, “MediorNet’s integrated signal management has enabled us to deploy decentralized router capabilities with distributed system intelligence — an ideal foundation on which to move towards an IP-based networking infrastructure and support future 4K productions.”

Higher bandwidth and additional connectivity options through a fiber-based network also allowed HD Broadcast to minimize cabling, setup, and logistics expenses.

HD Broadcast’s OB HD1 truck covers a wide range of live events, including first-division Bundesliga soccer matches and concert productions for MTV Unplugged on MTV’s German-language feed.
