The head of Salem Media Group‘s five radio stations in the Mile High City has just transferred to the company’s stations in the capital of the Buckeye State.

Starting Thursday (5/3), Carolyn Cassidy is now GM of Christian Talk and Teaching WRFD-AM 880 in Columbus and FM translator W283CL at 105.9; and Class A WTOH-FM 98.9 in Upper Arlington, Ohio and FM translator W240CX at 95.9 MHz in Columbus, Ohio, branded as “98.9 The Answer.”

She takes the role after serving in a similar role for KRKS-AM & FM, KDMT-AM, KNUS-AM & KBJD-AM in Denver-Boulder.

Cassidy is familiar with both Denver and Columbus, thanks to her work at her prior employer, Wilks Broadcasting. She worked for the company’s KIMN-FM, KXKL-FM & KWOF-FM in Denver under Wilks ownership (it sold the stations to Stan Kroenke’s KSE in 2015 for $54 million), and had been GM for Wilks’ stations in Columbus. Two of the three stations were acquired by Urban One: WHOK-FM & WZOH-FM. A third, WLVQ-FM, was sold to Saga Communications.

Cassidy reports to Salem SVP Allen Power, who said, “Carolyn is a veteran broadcast leader experienced in Salem’s formats and in the Columbus market specifically. This gives her a unique perspective as she embarks on leading our stations to greater growth and continued impact.”
