CBS O&O KYW-TV Philadelphia has fired anchor Larry Mendte, whose home computer was seized by the FBI in an investigation into whether he hacked into the email of former co-anchor Alycia Lane. KYW said the decision to terminate Mendte’s contract was based on an independent investigation conducted by CBS. He has not appeared on the air since late May. Lane, who was fired six months ago, has recently sued the station.
