Should A Houston-area Town Be Awarded A New FM?

It’s just 40 miles from the Houston transmitter site that is home to a variety of radio stations, visible from Fort Bend Parkway to the far southwest of downtown.


But, Wharton, Tex., is a place all of its own, and considers itself to be the Gateway to the Texas Gulf Coast. As such, one company has petitioned the FCC seeking the allotment of a new Class C2 FM licensed to the town.

Whether or not the Commission says yes is up to you.
