'Skating with the Stars' Thrill Week: four remain, three went to hospital

Last week sent Three Contestants to the Hospital and if you are a SWTS fan this week The Pairs are tasked with the Most Dangerous Moves in Skating.

Monday, the four remaining pairs take to the unforgiving ice on ‘Skating with the Stars.’. Last week was both fateful and unpredictable for television’s most dangerous show.

Three of the skaters were sent to the hospital, although two returned to perform during the December 6 telecast.

This week, aptly titled “Thrill Week,” the remaining pairs are being asked to perform one of skating’s most dangerous moves. Will they emerge unscathed . . . and who will survive elimination?

Dick Button, Johnny Weir and Laurieann Gibson are the judges; Vernon Kay is the host and Tanith Belbin is the commentator for the show, from BBC Worldwide Productions.

In “Thrill Week,” the music will be fast paced and high energy. Five of our pros will be back for a holiday themed performance packed full of lifts, tricks and incredible skating to “Baby it’s cold outside,” Adding to the thrills, each pair will have to keep up with the rhythm and tempo of the tracks they’re given and be required to perform one of the most dangerous moves in skating — an overheard lift or throw.

The four remaining pairs are Bethenny Frankel & Ethan Burgess, Brandon Mychal Smith & Keauna McLaughlin, Jonny Moseley & Brooke Castile and Rebecca Budig & Fred Palascak. The pair with the lowest ranking following the judges’ scores and votes from the public will be sent home the following week.
